Our work · Web design portfolio, South Africa

A portfolio judged on what the work actually did.

Pretty screenshots prove nothing. What matters is whether a site ranked, whether enquiries went up, whether the thing we built moved a number the business cared about. This web design portfolio is built from real South African projects with the identifying details removed, and the results are the results.

A note on honesty

Why this web design portfolio has no names

Some of our clients work in security and investigations, where naming them publicly would be a problem for them, not a marketing win for us. So we do not. What you see below is real work with the identifying details stripped out, real numbers, and no invented five star reviews. When we have client permission to name a project, we will. Until then, we would rather show you honest anonymous results than a wall of logos we cannot stand behind.

Want to verify? Ask us for the Search Console data behind any case study below. We will show you the actual rankings, the actual queries, the actual clicks. Most agencies show you a screenshot and say trust us. We hand you the login.

The work

Selected projects from our portfolio

Each of these is a real engagement. The problem, what we built, and what happened after. Every diagram below is the actual architecture we shipped.

Case 01 · Security & guarding

A national security firm invisible on Google

The problem. An established security and close protection company with a real reputation offline was nowhere in search. Their site was a single page, competitors owned the city terms, and enquiries came only from word of mouth.

What we built. A full hub and spoke structure: three service hubs for guarding, close protection and investigations, each with its own city pages targeting the suburbs they actually serve. Schema on every page, internal linking between hub and spoke, speed work under two seconds, and a Google Business Profile strategy across three separate listings.

What happened. Fourteen pages moved onto page one for their target terms within four months. Enquiries started arriving through the website for the first time, tracked to the exact search query that produced them, rather than relying on referrals.

Case 02 · Private investigations

A value brand that needed to own its own terms

The problem. A private investigations brand was competing on price across Gauteng, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal but had no search presence to match. The market was searching for specific city and value terms nobody in the business had ever targeted.

What we built. A dedicated silo of city pages plus cost and comparison content aimed squarely at the value searches. The structure was designed so the brand owned the regional and price-led terms rather than fighting for national ones it could not win against bigger budgets.

What happened. The brand began ranking for the specific regional and value terms it was built around, pulling in enquiries from searchers actively comparing on price, which was exactly the audience it was positioned for. The Google Business Profile became the primary call and chat lead source.

Case 03 · Local retail

A retail business with walk-in demand and no way to capture it

The problem. A local food retail operation had real foot traffic demand but zero digital presence. Customers could not find opening hours, could not check what was in stock, and had no way to enquire outside of physically arriving. Every missed search was a customer who drove to a competitor instead.

What we built. A clean, fast informational site built mobile first because every visitor was arriving on a phone. A Google Business Profile at the centre with accurate hours, photos and a direct message button. A WhatsApp enquiry path so customers could ask about stock before travelling. Total build: five days.

What happened. The business became findable at the exact moment people were searching for it. Profile views and direction requests started within the first two weeks. WhatsApp enquiries arrived before customers left home, reducing wasted trips. The Google profile did most of the heavy lifting, which is exactly right for a business of that size.

Case 04 · AI automation

Enquiries arriving after hours and going cold

The problem. A service business was losing work because enquiries came in on WhatsApp at night and on weekends, and whoever replied first the next morning had usually already lost to a competitor who answered sooner. Roughly 45% of their enquiries arrived outside working hours.

What we built. An AI assistant on the website and WhatsApp, trained on the business's own services, prices and service areas. It answers instantly at any hour, qualifies the enquiry by asking the right questions, and hands over to a person with the full conversation attached. Setup took four days.

What happened. First replies started going out in under ten seconds instead of eight to twelve hours, at 11pm and on public holidays. The enquiry was already qualified by the time a human picked it up. The business stopped losing after-hours work to whoever answered fastest. Within the first month, the assistant handled over 120 conversations.

Case 05 · E-commerce

A phone retailer that needed to sell online, not just list

The problem. A phone and electronics retailer had stock and demand but no way to sell online. Customers wanted to browse, compare and buy without a trip to the shop, and every enquiry that came in by message had to be handled manually, one product at a time.

What we built. A full WooCommerce store: product catalogue with variants, a checkout wired to local payment gateways, delivery rules by region, and stock management the client's own team could run. Built to be found, with product and category pages structured for search rather than hidden behind a login. No commission taken on a single sale.

What happened. The store went live and started taking real orders, with customers browsing and buying without a phone call in between. Product pages began pulling in search traffic for specific handset models, turning the catalogue itself into a lead source. The client kept every rand the store earned, minus only their own gateway fees.

How every project runs

The same discipline on all of them

Whatever the project, the way we work does not change.

Fixed price

Agreed before we start

A written scope and a fixed number, so the project cannot quietly grow into something you did not budget for. None of the projects on this page ran over their agreed price.

Built to be found

Search structure from day one

Every build ships with the technical SEO already done, schema markup, internal linking, Core Web Vitals in the green. A site nobody finds is decoration no matter how it looks.

Measured

Judged on real numbers

Rankings, enquiries, response times. We report on what moved, including the months it moves slowly, rather than on how the site looks. You get Search Console access, not a PDF of screenshots.

Yours

You own everything

Domain, hosting and site registered in your name and handed over at the end. No project on this page is held hostage to keep the client paying. Cancel the care plan and the site keeps running.

Straight answers

Web design portfolio questions

Why is your web design portfolio anonymous?

Because several of the clients in our portfolio work in security and investigations, where being named publicly would harm them. We would rather show honest anonymous results than pressure a client into a logo placement that puts them at risk. Where we have permission to name a project, we do.

Can I speak to a past client as a reference?

For some projects, yes, with the client's agreement arranged in advance. Tell us what kind of work you are considering and we will see which reference is the right fit, rather than handing out contacts without asking them first.

Can I verify the results you are claiming?

Yes. Ask us for the Search Console data behind any case study on this page. We will show you the actual rankings, the actual queries and the actual click data. We would rather you checked than took our word for it.

Does your portfolio have examples in my industry?

Possibly, and it matters less than people expect. The discipline of ranking a page and converting an enquiry is the same across industries. What changes is the research into your specific customers, which we do at the start of every project regardless.

Are the results on this page typical?

They are real, and results always depend on the market, the budget and the competition. We will not promise you the same numbers, because anyone who promises specific rankings is not being straight with you. We will tell you honestly what is realistic for your situation.

Why don't you show more screenshots?

Because a screenshot proves a site exists, not that it works. A good looking page that ranks nowhere and converts nobody is a failure with nice colours. We would rather show you what the work achieved than how it looked on launch day. That said, we are happy to walk you through live sites on a call.

Can you do what you did in these cases for me?

If your situation is similar, very likely. The honest way to find out is a conversation about your business, your market and your budget, after which we will tell you what we would do and what it would realistically achieve. The quote comes back within 24 hours.

Next step, no cost

Tell us what you are trying to move.

More enquiries, better rankings, a store that actually sells, an assistant that answers at night. Tell us the number you care about, and we will tell you honestly whether we can move it and how.
