Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how we work together: what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, how projects are priced and paid, and who owns what. We keep them fair and readable rather than burying the important parts in fine print.

1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you (the client) and Dube AI ("we", "us", "our"), a web design, SEO and AI agency based in South Africa. They apply to the services we provide and the quotes we issue. Using our website means you accept the parts of these terms that relate to the website itself. A signed quote or written acceptance of a quote means you accept the parts that relate to project work.
2. Quotes and scope
We provide a written quote with a fixed price and a defined scope before any project work begins. The price we quote is the price you pay for the work described. If you ask for work beyond that scope, we will quote the additional work separately before doing it, so nothing is ever added to your bill without your agreement first. A quote is valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise.
3. Payment
- Deposits. Most projects start with a deposit and the balance on completion. For South African website builds this is typically 70% deposit under R10,000 and 60% at or above it. For international projects it is typically 50% deposit and 50% on completion. Your quote states the exact terms for your project.
- Monthly services. SEO, maintenance and care plans are billed monthly in advance and continue until cancelled on 30 days notice.
- Late or missed payment. We may pause work or ongoing services if an invoice is unpaid, after giving you notice and a chance to settle. We would always rather talk to you than pause anything.
- Currency. South African work is priced in rands. International work is priced and invoiced in US dollars.
4. What we need from you
To deliver on time we need you to provide content, images, logins, feedback and approvals reasonably promptly. Most delays on a project come from waiting on these, not from the build itself. If a project stalls because we are waiting on you for an extended period, we may need to reschedule it around other work, and we will keep you informed if that happens.
5. Timelines
We give realistic timelines and work hard to meet them. Typical builds run two to four weeks, stores four to six. Timelines assume you provide what we need when we need it. Where a delay is our responsibility, we fix it at no cost to you. Where it results from waiting on you or on a third party, the timeline shifts accordingly.
6. Revisions
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds, stated in your quote (usually two). This lets us refine the work to fit your business without a project running indefinitely. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds are billed at our hourly rate, quoted before we do them.
7. Ownership and handover
When a project is complete and paid for, you own it. The domain, hosting account and the finished website are registered in your name, and we hand over every login. We do not hold your site, domain or hosting hostage to keep you as a client. Where a project uses third-party components (such as premium plugins or stock images), those remain subject to their own licences, which we will tell you about.
Until final payment is received, the work remains our property. We may also display anonymised, non-identifying descriptions of completed work in our own portfolio, as described in that page, and we will never publish a client's name or confidential details without permission.
8. Ongoing services and cancellation
SEO, maintenance and care plans run month to month with no lock-in. You may cancel any ongoing service on 30 days written notice, and we may do the same. On cancellation we provide a full backup and help move your site to your own provider at no exit fee. Work already delivered and invoiced remains payable.
9. What we do not promise
We are honest about what our work can and cannot do. In particular:
- We cannot and do not guarantee specific Google rankings, positions or traffic numbers. Search results depend on factors outside anyone's control, and anyone who guarantees a position is not being straight with you.
- We cannot guarantee specific sales, enquiry volumes or revenue, since these depend on your market, pricing and offer as much as on the website.
- We do our best work and report honestly on results, including the months progress is slow.
10. Liability
We take care in our work, but to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, arising from the use of a website or service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Third-party services
Our work often relies on third-party services such as hosting providers, payment gateways, plugins and Google's tools. We choose reputable providers, but we are not responsible for their outages, changes or failures. Where such an issue affects your site, we help you resolve it, but the underlying service is theirs, not ours.
12. Your information
How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our business or the law changes. The version that applies to your project is the one in force when you accepted your quote. The date at the top shows when this page was last revised.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any dispute will be dealt with under South African law. We would always prefer to resolve any disagreement by talking it through first.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms are welcome before you commit to anything. Email {{EMAIL}}, call {{PHONE_DISPLAY}}, or write to us at {{ADDRESS_LINE}}.
